A popular feature in many Thailand gardens is the Thai style pergola, on a raised wooden deck. This can be used as an entry point into another part of the landscape, or tucked away amongst tropical planting and used as a general rest area. As a rest area, it can be a more cost effective alternative to the Thai sala.
www.thaigardendesign.com recently designed a tropical Thai and Japanese style rock garden for an established expat resident of Pattaya. (For a better overal view of the new garden, view the pictures here). The existing garden was a failry bland combination of a grass lawn, large trees and mid range trees cut into circular shapes as seen in many Thai style gardens (and which the owner wasn't keen).

The Thai Garden team recently completed this attractive waterfall design for a client in central Thailand. The pond curves around the base of a large tree, with the feature actually consisting of 2 waterfalls at either side.

A large complex of villas in Hua Hin, Thailand required some landscaping work at the front of their development. The area initially was basic waste ground, with scattered building materials, and all at uneven levels.
The owner had alot of bricks leftover from previous work, and wanted to use them in order to save on project costs.
