The Thai Garden Design team recently took on this large garden renovation at a large residence in Nakhon Phanom Province, Thailand. The owners had just build the house and were looking at a professional garden installation, including a large waterfall pond, automatic sprinkler system, complete grassing, new tropical planting, pathways and lighting.
The entire installation, from start to finish, took approximately six […]
The team at Thai Garden Design recently visited a property in Pattaya. The owner had a wooden deck installed some time ago that had fell into disrepair. He was interested in a long term, low maintenance solution, as the decking served as a housing for an outdoor Jacuzzi that the family were fond of using from time to time.
After discussions he chose […]
Following on from a small family koi pond installation at a home in Sathorn, Bangkok, the team were invited to design and improve the tropical planting and pathways for the rest of the garden. Much of the planting had ‘thinned out’, with pebbles and pavers misplaced, wobbly or a tripping hazard. The team advised, and got to work.

Thai Garden Design recently visited and installed this amazing new fish pond for a family residing in the Sathorn district of Bangkok. The youngest member of the family has a spiralling interest in keeping fish, and as a newly moved in-to property, the rest of the family decided to help him explore his interest and arranged the visit and installation.
This hardwood pergola was designed and constructed by the Thai Garden Design team for a recent project taking place in Bang Saen, Chonburi. This pergola doubles up as an attractive long term weather projection, helping to block the sun and keep the rain out in key areas (certain sections have a poly carbonate roofing installed).
The pergola is strong – with footings on both […]
This unique, bespoke made ‘Water Curtain’ Feature was recently designed and installed by the Thai Garden Design team for a home garden in Bangkok. The family wanted to make a feature that symbolised the loss of King Bhumibol in 2016, and believed the Water Curtain to be a fitting tribute.
The feature stands approxamately 2.50m tall, with a recycling […]
Many garden owners could benefit from adding a low maintenance dry stream to their property. Ponds and stream-like constructions do require maintenance, but with a dry stream, you can create an instant feature, that only needs to be kept free of leaves etc.
In this example above (Tropical Landscaping for Large Hua Hin Garden) the whole side of this large garden was nothing more […]
The team at Thai Garden Design have recently transformed this large Hua Hin garden into a resort style tropical landscape. On arrival, the team were presented with a maintained, but tired looking garden. The existing layout was patchy, the stone borders and planting around the home were a bit of an eyesore. See picture below as an example.
The owner of the property had […]
This project in Bang Saen in Chonburi recently took place and included many Thai garden features including: a large sala located in the corner of the landscape. Covered pergola walkways around the back and sides of the house (a later post). An L-shaped lotus pond, and a vast array of tropical trees to beautify and ensure clever screening for parts of the garden.
Stamped concrete offers an extremely attractive and low maintenance way of creating pathways and driveways in Thailand… When using the right team, an area of stamped concrete can be a massive hit in any garden landscape, no matter the size of the project. It can be used in almost all situations that require a concreted base, and there are an amazing array of colours and patterns to choose from (the main ones seen below).
