Thai Garden Design recently designed and constructed a new rock waterfall with planting scheme for a front driveway at a newly built home in Ubon Ratchathani Province in Thailand's North East (Isaan).
The garden area was the last part of the home to be finished, and was left flat and empty. The owners of the home often sat outside on the front porch with friends, and so wanted something pleasant to look at and listen to.
The new waterfall pond measures 3x3m and is around 1m deep. Natural rocks form a large part of the sides and are included in the planting scheme. The once dry and barren area is now a hive of activity when the waterfall is switched on, the bright colours of the plants help to attract birds and other wildlife whilst the sounds of the water is good at attracting the attention of the local Thai's!
