www.thaigardendesign.com recently completed a garden makeover for an Expat based in Pattaya, Chonburi. The problems were a haphazard planting scheme (which came with the house), bad grass and a general lack of cohesion throughout.
The pool, which lies as the main focal point of the main garden was let down by bad access and planting, as well as an old well which lay dormant to one side. The team laid a whole new lawn, filled in the old well, and installed a new planting scheme along with several Japanese style rock gardens running along the pathways.

New planting around the pool and outside terraces added vibrance and colour to the garden, making it a more relaxing and enjoyable place to be.
Other problem areas were bad soil and protruding tree roots, which were properly removed and catered for within the initial garden design.
