It's often the case in Thailand that home owners may have the opportunity to 'buy up' land near to, or even next door to their main home. Many times this is reserved by the owners to construct another house on it some day…..
But maybe for the interim, or as a cheaper and hassle free alternative, one option is to design and professionally landscape a nice, inviting, tropical garden.
In this case, the owner of the home just wanted to drastically transform the space of the empty plot next door – the ground was hard, tangled in weeds and bugs, and a general eyesore. Thai Garden Design came up with suggestions and a garden plan, and once all was agreed, began with transforming the space.
At the centre of the plot was to be a traditional fish-scale roof Thai sala, with thick wooden columns, and deck. All electrical facilities, outlets, fan and corner lights were also included in the spec. Surrounding the sala and throughout the garden, the team designed a planting scheme that offered colour and variety as well as easy to maintain.
Two large trees were re-located to the other side of the space, and new earth and sand were transported in and a new grass lawn laid and rolled.
The garden is now an accessible, inviting, pleasant space, somewhere to unwind in the evening and relax under cover. If you need ideas on your landscape or garden space in Thailand, don't delay, contact Thai Garden Design now.
