Thai Garden Design visited the house of an expat couple in Pranburi, Prauchuap Khiri Kahn after they were recommended to them by a previous customer. The couple had a pond and waterfall built, but the finish was unattractive, and the filter system inadequate for the size of the pond. The couple asked Thai Garden Design to come up with a design proposal to improve the look and function of the pond, which we duly did.
After discussing the various options a start date was agreed and the team moved in to begin the work on improving the pond. First, a new filter was constructed beside the pond, to draw the water through and clean it, before returning it back to the main pond. A wooden deck was constructed and used as a housing for the new filter.
The existing waterfall that the owners were unhappy with was completely deconstructed, and rebuilt in a much more attractive and natural style. New planting and pebble stones were also added to make this area of the garden more beautiful.
The new waterfall and pond not only operate properly, but the flow around the pond, and the waterfall itself are much more pleasant. The deck offers visitors to the garden somewhere to rest and relax, whilst watching the fish, who are clearly seen now the water filtration has been improved.
