The Jatropha integerrima, commonly known as peregrina, or spicy jatropha, is a decorative shrub with distinctive lance-shaped, bright green leaves, dotted with deep pink or red flowers all over.
Peregrina can reach up to 3 metres in height when growing wild, but they are also popular potted plants within many Thai households. They are widespread throughout many Thai urban and rural gardens, often employed as border plants, and for framing tall trees or accent palms.
Part of the large Euphorbiaceae family, they prefer partial sun, regular water and well drained soil.
