Thai Garden Design recently installed a 50 SQM lawn for an expat family in the centre of Bangkok. The owners had recently re-located to Thailand from another part of Asia and had brought with them their two energetic beagles. Previously they had tried to re-grass the back garden with shade loving turf, but this had deteriotated and all but disappeared after just a few days. The team visited and advised on the longevity and benefits of an artificial lawn, which would be very low mainteance, remain green throughout and would be easy to clean.
The team got to work by installing a concrete border around the outside of the grass area, filling the centre with a sand and gravel drainage course, compacting, and then laying the grass over the top, glueing the edges and joining to make the lawn natural and attractive.
The results speak for themselves, with a new vibrant green lawn across the entire back garden. This new lawn will need no care (other than cleaning up dropped leaf litter) and will remain green and intact no matter the light levels. A perfect solution for a family with dogs.
