A customer of Pornchai Garden recently purchased a large plot of neighbouring land in order to create a larger garden with more surrounding space.
After the walls were removed and with various ongoing improvements to the house, builders waste and rubble had began to build up in the new plot.
Other concerns were that, as the plot resides next to a large canal, the area was experiencing bad drainage problems that had really become evident during the wet season. Pornchai Garden were called to consult and improve the drainage of the area, and begin rebuilding the new garden landscape design, which is currently in development.
(pic above – the old treescape has been removed, allowing clearer views from the house into the new garden). The builders waste was first removed, and the team flattened and landscaped the land so that excess water is directed to certain areas of the garden plot.
The new plot is to include a large waterfall and pond, new sala and pergola with resting areas, tropical planting, outdoor toilet, pathways and grass.
And the customer need not worry about future drainage issues, as the team installed a new drain network that links to the city drains, so excess run off and water is moved away from the plot before saturating the soil.
