The Thai Garden Design team just finished this beautiful tropical pond design in the heart of Pattaya, Chonburi. The project was the complete garden, with the waterfall pond being the centerpiece of the garden.
The home in Baan Pattaya 6 is a newly built pool villa, which like many homes in Thailand, comes with a basic ‘bones’ garden. The new owners wanted to create something unique and special.
The team advised removing thinly grassed areas at the back and sides, and by installing anti-weed fabric and rock gardens. These worked very well with the owners direction of ‘low maintenance’,
An automatic sprinkler system was also part of the project, our specialist team installed a Hunter X-Core residential system, connected to existing water tanks, fed by the city water.
The pond is located in the main entrance courtyard to the home, so it viewable from all main areas inside the house, and the first thing you see when you enter the home.
The whole garden in total took just 2 weeks to complete, although planning phases were over several weeks, via email whilst the customer was working abroad. It was a seamless and easily handled success overall, and the owners were extremely pleased with the final garden and tropical pond design.
