As part of a wider project for a customer in Bangkok (including a very nice hardwood pool deck, post to follow) the Thai Garden Design team had to sort out this rather ugly driveway,which over the years had become discoloured and a general eyesore (pictured below).
The solution suggested by the team was to use a stamp concrete pattern, directly over the existing drive. With stamped concrete, a few inches of coloured concrete are poured and leveled, with the chosen pattern then stamped directly on top of the drying concrete. The great thing about stamped concrete is there is a wide variety of colours and patterns to choose from.
Within two days, this drive had completely transformed into a bright, unique patterned driveway, a far cry from the original eyesore.
The team were able to place the stamp in all key areas, some surrounding the existing storage house. The rest of the lower sections were completed with a nice pebble garden, with a few stepping pavers.
