The team at Thai Garden Design recently visited this property in Jomtien, Pattaya, to help and assist in improving this garden (picture below). The owner was generally fed up with it being an eyesore, as the trees regularly shed leaves and created too much shade for good grass growth. As a keen golfer, the owner was interested in making the garden a 'golf friendly' garden, with low maintenance artificial grass and a putting green (also artificial).
After creating a garden plan, the team went ahead and installed a nice flat 32 sqm putting green, with surrounding taller grass around the border of the green and on the slopes. The troublesome trees were completely removed, so there is no longer any leaf litter, and in their place a selection of hardy, colourful shrubs planted within a nice rock garden.
Other trees around the perimeter were also cut back, and a nice curving retaining brick border was installed around the edges of the new grass, which measures another 80 sqm total area.
