Thai Garden Design recently installed this tropical hardwood pergola at an Expat home in Cha Am. Measuring over 60 sqm, it is large enough to cover the whole side driveway, and two cars. The pergola is also ‘L’ shaped, covering a section of the rear of the house.
Thick wooden columns give ample support across the whole pergola, and a polycarbonate roof provides further sun screen protection to the wood and those walking underneath the structure.
The wood was stained to match the owners own taste, and the polycarbonate comes in a choice of colours also. The entire build took 10 days to complete from start to finish.
The pergola gives a great ornamental look to the home, and offers up welcome shade in certain areas close to the main living areas.
