(Continuation from project here) The Pornchai Garden team were asked to come up with new ideas for a garden in Bangkok. The back of this pool area was thickly planted with tall banana trees which, along with weeds and other unwanted vegetation, had gradually taken over the 4 metre wide pathway. (complete pictures for this garden here).
The team got to work, at first the trees were cut down, roots dug out, with everything removed from the site. The ground was then levelled and prepared.
As evident in the picture above, the space at the back of the garden is larger than perceived, easily wide enough to construct a tropical walkway around the pool.
The Pornchai Garden team chose a selection of tropical plants with the client, and designed a new planting scheme along the new walkway. The team also installed new coloured stone and pebble beds, new lawn grass, attractive water jars, a complete sprinkler system, and a sleeper pathway, running around the length of the pool.
This garden space has been transformed from a unusable area of dense trees, dead leaves and unwanted vegetation, into a new, colourful, tropical garden. It is now a pleasure to walk down and easy to enjoy. The new colours, trees, and plant life also help to attract birds and other wildlife to the garden, and the customer is now able to sit comfortably by their pool, enjoying the nice view of their bright tropical garden..
