The Thai Garden Design team just finished off this new, clean, modern style garden for a couple residing in the Huay Yai area of Pattaya. The garden before resembled ‘a bit of a jungle’, with establish unkempt plants covering the walls. The lawn was bumpy, and there was no clear design or direction.
After consultation, the team sent drawings and plans, and over time a new plan was agreed. The new garden was to be a much less cluttered, easily maintainable landscape, a mix of lush green lawn, colourful plants (to the taste of the owners) and pebble gardens in areas hard to keep grass.
The couple also opted to have a fully automatic sprinkler system installed, which operates x2 a day, and keeps all the lawn and plants healthy. Wooden slatted fences and gates were installed around the home, to hide unsightly A/C units, and keep the kids (and dogs!) in the yard space.
Concrete Pavers are sunken into the new lawn, and around the house, giving easy access throughout all areas of this good sized garden. New trees were also installed, and fixed solid with appropriate wooden stacks (supports). Bricked herb and kitchen planters (below pic) were also built in the shadier parts of the garden, easily accessible from the kitchen. A selection of orchids were also employed around the space.
