Croton come in many different shapes, colours and sizes. They are part of the family Euphorbiaceae and are thought to originate from Malaysia.
Their bright and colourful foliage make them a popular and well used ground cover throughout Thailand and South East Asia.
They are a very adaptable and robust tropical, they can be grown in full or partial sun, as well as shade and are even known to grow well in dryer soils.
The croton can reach heights of 10ft, although they are rarely seen above 6ft.
