Thai Garden Design were recently invited to design and assist in the brain storming of landscaping ideas and concepts for this beautiful modern home in Central Phuket.
Getting access to the site from an early stage, the team were able to talk with the owner about the goals and requirements for the home, which required a ground up landscape design, and automatic sprinkler system.
A comprehensive drainage plan was devised and installed which would mean quick and easy evacuation of rain water during Phuket’s notorious rainy season, with all leveling and grass work having to take into account easy water flows into the sloping drainage system.
Manila palms, Sago palms, Mcarther palms and low maintenance shrubs help to break up the sweeping lawn, which dominates the new garden. A simple sandwash paver pathways helps guests navigate around this large garden, which is complemented by taller foliage trees from the surrounding golf course.
After all planting locations were agreed, the team installed a fully automatic sprinker system, manufactured by Hunter. This was integrated seamlessly into the homes large pump room.
