How to Grow Grass From Seed

  • Rake bare soil lightly to cultivate.
  • Broadcast the seed with your spreader according to the seed package directions.
  • Aerate and vertically cut to expose the soil surface, and then broadcast seed.
  • Water several times every day for at least one month as the seedbed must stay constantly moist for germination to occur.

Step 1: Soil Preparation

Remove all weeds from the planting area.

Use moist, well-aerated black soil with good water retention.

No need to apply any chemical, organic, or animal manure fertilizers to the base soil.

Step 2: Seed Treatment

Mix B1 solution at a ratio of 100 cc per 1 liter of water.

Soak grass seeds in the solution for 5 to 8 hours.

After soaking, mix the seeds with clean, dry sand at a 1:1 ratio.

(This helps the seeds spread more evenly when sown.)

Step 3: Covering and Watering

Lightly cover the sown seeds with fine soil or shredded coconut husks to protect them from direct sunlight.

Alternatively, mix the seeds lightly with coconut husks before sowing.

Watering schedule:

First 7 days: Water 4–5 times per day.

After germination and rooting: Water 2–3 times per day.

Step 4: Post-Planting Care

25–35 days after planting: Perform the first mowing to remove grass clippings.

Apply fertilizer 27-12-6, mixed with organic fertilizer, to promote strong root development and dense, healthy growth.

🌱 For best results, follow each step carefully.
