Ironwood Tree – Fagrea fragrans
Fagraea fragrans, also known as Ironwood or Tembusu, is a large evergreen tree native to Southeast Asia. The leaves are oval and light green in colour. Ironwood can grow upwards of 20m tall. It is more prominently known for producing quality hardwood timber, but it is also a lovely looking tree. The wood is commonly used posts, building supports, bridges, furniture, and decking.
