N.exalta, cultivar Bostoniensis a.k.a the Boston Fern (also sometimes known as the Fishbone Fern) is distinctive for it's long pinnate leaves, and it's hanging fronds that grow to around 40-60cm.
All the members of the genus Nephrolepis are great when used as ground covers, within foliage beds and around tree bases, but these tough ferns are also a very popular indoor plant, due to their tough nature. They do well in shade and low sunlight, plus they can also thrive on only small amounts of water.
They are also popularly used to decorate decked areas, terraces and porches, where they can often be seen in hanging baskets.
