Pornchai Garden recently designed and constructed a large waterfall garden for a resident of Ubon Rathchathani in Thailand's North East (also known as Isaan). The owner of the house wanted a large waterfall feature and pond just in front of their back terrace, to serve as an extra space they would be able to spend time during the day and evening. (pics of the finished garden here).
The team completed the installation from concept design to finished landscape, including digging a hole large enough to meet with the customer's requirements, evaluating and building the correct foundations and brickwork, cementing, sourcing and procuring large natural rocks and boulders (not always easy in Isaan) as well as create a winning planting scheme that would accompany and complete the overall feature. Also included within the garden design were a clay brick sitting terrace to be adjacent to the pond, 'shelves' so fish can easily swim up to the surface of the pond, pathways and ornaments, plus the appropriate filtering and pump systems, plus lighting to assist enjoyment of the waterfall at night times.
(picture above – the team during the build) – The overall build took 6 weeks, which also included the fitting of a complete sprinkler system to cover the whole garden (just over 2 rai).
The finished pond is over 10 x 10 metre length and width, and over x1 metre deep. Pathways give ease of access around the pond, with lighting switches installed within a new sala. The pumps and filters are all included and are hidden from view around the back of the waterfall.

just awesome
Pond pumps are really essential for maintaining water level in the pond. Pond pumps maintains the pressure in the ponds so that fishes do not get harmed due to the water level or pressure. This is a good type of pond pump house.
