This low maintenance pebble garden is part of a larger project being undertaken by the Thai Garden Design team, which includes design and installation of a tropical garden whilst the owners of the home are working abroad. This rock & pebble garden is one of the initial phases being completed. The area before is completely bare of any planting or grass, and so the garden was designed and agreed beforehand.
This area of the garden (above) is located in a shadier part of the landscape, and therefore the planting needed to be suitable. As grass would have trouble growing, the owners opted to have this corner as a low maintenance rock garden (below).
The team's design is a simple yet effective combination or large dark pebbles, artificial sleepers and circular paving stones, varied planting, foliage and colours.
