This hum-drum balcony recently got a facelift by the landscape designers at Thai Garden Design, who visited and came up with a design proposal for the owners.
The owner desperately wanted to improve the space by giving it more personality, as she enjoyed sitting outside on her balcony during most evenings.
Elements of the design include a hardwood trellis on one wall, surrounding a modern BBQ area. The idea being that over time, creeper plants will gradually grow and take over this wall.
An artificial grass border was installed on the floor around the perimeter of the balcony, softening the look of the new wooden tiles, which cover the old dull beige ones. One wall is also covered in the same style of artificial grass, along with a wooden bench seat, also covered in the grass.
