Thai Garden Design recently installed this authentic rock waterfall and pond feature, with planting and landscaping at a popular Amazon Cafe in Central Thailand. The garden included a long, organically shaped pond (6m long by 0.80cm deep), a nice wooden bridge, crossing over from the parking area to the shop, pathways, plus all landscaping and planting in a low maintenance, jungle style.
The Cafe Amazon management were extremely pleased with the finished garden landscape, and the team look forward to producing more great gardens for the popular chain in the future.

The Embassy of Finland, Bangkok, recently contracted the team at Pornchai Garden to help them with large scale drainage issues at their nice residence garden at their Embassy quarters in Bangkok.
Previous contractors had advised the Embassy to install underground drainage pipes, but had failed to regrade and slope the lawn properly, so during wet periods the top layer of grass remained very wet and muddy, not nice to walk on.
The Pornchai Garden team advised on a solution, and installed the new lawn and fixed the underlying problems within 2 weeks. The team also installed a new planting scheme throughout the gardens which will be posted later on.
The new lawn gently slopes towards existing rainwater drains, ensuring that during heavy rainfall, the excess water runoff doesn't get the chance to 'pool'.
Afterwards, the Finnish Ambassador to Bangkok was very happy with the final results, which were well tested, when several centimeters of rain fell immediately after the lawn had been completed!

B.Grimm were one of the first European companies to do business in Thailand back in 1878, when German pharmacist Bernhard Grimm and his Austrian partner, Erwin Mueller, opened a chemist's shop, the Siam Dispensary. The dispensary was one of the earliest incorporated businesses in the country; it prospered and actaually became appointed official pharmacist to the Thai royal family.
The B.Grimm Group recently began developing a recreational area at the front of their large headquarters in Bangkok, changing it from a largely unusable space into somewhere workers and friends of the business can sit, relax and unwind. The Group contacted Thai Garden Design to develop and install a large rectangular pond to be at the centre of the new recreational area.
The pond is a good size, measuring 7 metres in length. It is fitted with a submersible pump which drives the three fountains, easily adaptable to give more / less water flow. The rest of the landscape is in the process of being installed.
The pond is finished with silver grey sandwash edges, and a slate grey tiled interior, ensuring the pond will age well and look good for many years to come.
Although the rest of the landscape is yet to be installed, the new pond sits at the heart of the proposed area and sets the tone for the rest of the development, ensuring the area will always be a welcome place to 'chill out'.
