Jasmines (botanical family: Oleaceae) include both climber plants and shrubs. The most well known of the climber variety, Jasminum sambac (also known as Arabian Jasmine - pic) is an evergreen vine reaching up to 3 metres in length. It has attractive, dark green leaves, with brilliant white flowers. Another type, Royal Jasmine (jasmine grandiflorum) is a native of Thailand and noted for its large, star-shaped white flowers.
