The Traveler's Palm - Plants in Thailand

Travelers_Palm This large and dominating plant is a popular feature of many a Thai garden.

Actually part of the banana family, the Traveler's Palm is called so because its large, finger like branches collect water at their base, offering a welcome drink to many a traveler in tropical climates.
