Thai Garden Design recently met with a professional expat who was looking for a unique and exotic back garden for his holiday home in Jomtien, Pattaya. He had specific ideas about how he wanted to keep things low maintenance but stylish. The team helped with a landscape plan and after discussions they got to work.
Part of the scope was to build an amazing and modern walkway bridge between the main terrace and the sun lounger space (see bridge above pic). The team advised on low maintenance tropical plants and added several large trees, which required a crane to properly position.
Of course the biggest change is the professionally installed concrete sandwash terrace, in a stylish silver tone, which gives great and easy access all around the pool and back garden space. Cleverly positioned planting spaces allow for tall coconut trees, which add height to the garden, and also much needed shade.
And finally, a fully automatic sprinkler system has been rigged to cover the whole landscape, ensuring the long term health of all the plants and trees. The sides and entrance of the home are colourful rock gardens, with easy step, wide random cut stone, making this whole garden unique and inviting to all that visit.
